McCloskey International, a screening and crushing equipment manufacturer based in Keene, Ontario, Canada, has added Centrocar, a multinational construction services provider based in Lavra Porto, Portugal, to its global network of distributors.

According to a news release from McCloskey, Centrocar will offer McCloskey’s mobile crushers, screeners and stackers, many of which are hybrid or electric.

“Having Centrocar join the McCloskey dealer network further strengthens our global footprint,” says Toni Laaksonen, senior vice president of McCloskey International. “They are strategically positioned to serve the market as we move into high growth opportunities like infrastructure development following the coronavirus pandemic. Additionally, the rich natural resource base in Portugal stimulates the demand for efficient, reliable and durable machinery and we anticipate this will contribute to the growth of our partnership and success in the marketplace.”

Established over 45 years ago, Centrocar is a multinational company dedicated to the sale of construction equipment and services and has 130 employees. In 2008, it began an expansion into Africa and currently services Angola and Mozambique.

“We want Centrocar to be a modern, flexible, trustable and dynamic company, as well as a reference for its customers, suppliers, employees and shareholders,” says Fernando Almeida, CEO of Centrocar. “The Portuguese market will give us good opportunities to grow with McCloskey, we expect that market can show robust growth in the next five years due to infrastructure investments that are foreseen for the country.”
