Dr. Shirley Ramos will provide attendees with skills and knowledge to help executives lead in the future.
The National Demolition Association (NDA) will be offering a Leadership Development Program during the association’s annual convention in Las Vegas. The session will be held Feb. 23 and will be presented by FMI, a provider of management consulting services to the engineering and construction industries based in Raleigh, N.C. The program is limited to 30 attendees.
The training will be led by Dr. Shirley Ramos, a veteran training consultant with experience in both the public and private sectors. The program is designed to expand the skills and knowledge of the next generation of leaders so that they are equipped to manage in the future.
“Statistics show that 76 percent of construction company owners over the age of 50 are planning to retire in the next 10 years,” she notes. “We need to get the next tier of managers ready to lead.”
The program is aimed at project managers, estimators, superintendents, foremen and company owners. The fee is $250; for fully registered convention attendees, the cost is $150. A registration form is posted online on the NDA website www.demolitionassociation.com.
