The Liebherr Group, with corporate headquarters in Bulle, Switzerland, has established a new international web presence at www.liebherr.com.

The company says the new site is designed as an international umbrella portal offering significantly more information about the Liebherr Group and access to the organization’s various products, divisions and brands from one central location.

Liebherr says the site features interactive control elements and new web technology, as well as quick access to information regardless of the user’s device.

The company says the site is being launched incrementally, with the corporate section among the first released. Here visitors can access updated information including brand values, the history of the family-owned company, product and service functions and also the new career section.

The second phase of the redesign begins in autumn 2014, Liebherr says, when individual product areas will be incorporated incrementally within the new homepage concept as their own pages. Until they are incorporated in the new umbrella site, Liebherr's existing content for various product areas remains active and unchanged as separate internet portals, the company says.

According to Liebherr, the site’s responsive web design and topic-related incorporation of interactive elements mirrors Liebherr’s attention to high quality standards. The company also says the website provides a new look at the organization and its capacity for innovation.

The site features interactive control elements such as scroll and extension platforms, drop-down accordion menus, informational sliders and intelligent search filters as well as maps with Google Maps functionality. These and other features ensure that the user can gain access to the desired information quickly and easily, Liebherr says. Furthermore, the site is designed to adjust automatically to the user’s viewing medium and is adapted to accommodate touchscreen operation, the company says. Optimization for smart phones is planned in a future phase, the company adds.
