Allied Gator’s patented MT Series Multi-Tool, outfitted with the patented Quick-Change Shear Jaw Set, is a shear configuration specifically designed for continual use in challenging, full-time processing applications.
Allied-Gator’s MTR 50 S processing cableThe Youngstown, Ohio-based manufacturer says the mobile shear configuration can handle hardened steel wire, all types of steel cable and rebar. The materials have been notoriously troublesome for recyclers as well as traditionally costly to process with mobile shears. Allied-Gator says its MT offers a profitable solution in this regard.
According to Allied-Gator, the design features of the MT, along with its power and rigid jaw design, are two keys that allow recyclers to profitably cut these materials on a long-term basis.
The MT’s significant throat force, Allied Gator says, generated by the patented Allied-Gator Power-Link and Guide System, enables the tool to power through each cut with a continual power gain, rather than lose force after the materials have massed themselves into the shear jaw.
The MT’s components are constructed of high-alloy cast steel, Allied-Gator says, providing the strength and rigidity that allow the tool to shear through wire, cable and rebar materials, while providing the shear blades the stability they require. This enables the Shear Jaw Set to maintain the blade clearances that are essential to continual cutting performance in these specialized applications, the company adds.
