International Reuse Conference and Expo Slated for October

ReuseConex 2012 in Portland, Ore., will include sessions on reuse and an exhibit hall.

ReuseConex 2012, the 2nd International Reuse Conference & Expo The event will be held on October 18-20, 2012 at the Portland DoubleTree in Portland, Ore. Conference organizers are extending an "early-bird discount" until Sept. 15 of $195 for all of the sessions, expo, activities, and meals.

ReuseConex will host more than 45 speakers from around the country (including Anne Nicklin of the Building Materials Reuse Association (BMRA), and BMRA members including Dave Bennink, Joe Connell, Nathan Benjamin, Lorenz Schilling, Joel Lubell, Diane Cohen and Sherill Baldwin), visit more than 75 reuse-related exhibitors in the expo hall, and network with hundreds of reuse sector members, including other BMRA members, environmental educators, government agencies, public policy makers, and concerned citizens.

Organized by the Reuse Alliance, ReuseConex 2012 is designed to allow attendees to learn from and to network with reuse leaders from around the country and abroad. Breakout sessions are designed for reuse professionals, from reuse center managers and recycling coordinators to environmental educators and sustainability consultants. Many sessions also are designed for students, DIY enthusiasts and concerned citizens interested in learning more about how reuse fits into their home, school or work projects.
