Atlas Copco Acquires Toolmaker

Pneumatic Holdings provides light construction tools.

Atlas Copco, headquartered in Commerce City, Colo., has acquired Pneumatic Holdings Inc., a Santa Fe Springs, Calif.-based provider of pneumatic light construction tools.

Pneumatic Holdings’ product line includes paving breakers, chipping hammers, rivet busters and rock drills. The company has 16 employees.

"We are very excited about this acquisition," says Erik Sparby, president and general manager of Atlas Copco Construction Equipment. "Pneumatic Holdings is a strong company with quality products. This strengthens our distribution and presence in the North American construction market and allows us to better serve our customers."

Pneumatic Holdings’s main customer segments consist of contractors and rental companies within the construction industry. The company becomes part of the Construction Tools division in Atlas Copco’s Construction Technique business area.
