The 2014 International & Western States In-Place Recycling Conference, scheduled for Denver August 5-7, will feature presentations covering ”technical issues, including specifications” for the in-place recycling of asphalt pavement, according to the event’s organizers.
The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the Asphalt Recycling & Reclaiming Association (ARRA) say the August event will include sessions covering several topics, including:
- a look at the latest techniques in hot-in-place asphalt recycling, cold central plant configurations, cold-in-place recycling, and full-depth reclamation;
- international speakers will discuss their innovative in-place recycling techniques; and
- the Texas Transportation Institute at Texas A&M University has agreed to sponsor a workshop session called “Revitalizing In-Place Recycling Technologies: Gaps, Barriers and a Path Forward.” The workshop session will consist of breakout roundtable discussions on what is keeping agencies from fully embracing in-place recycling and developing a plan to overcome these obstacles, say conference organizers.
The FHWA and ARRA are seeking exhibitors to fill from 20 to 30 booths who wish to market their services or products to attendees.
