Recycling Of Plastic Containers

The City of Tucson is seeking proposals from qualified offerors for the removal and recycling of automated plastic containers that have been removed from service.

The City of Tucson’s Environmental Services Department provides garbage and recycling collection services to over 130,000 households using automated plastic containers (APCs) serviced by side-loading collection vehicles. Approximately 3,000 containers are retired from service each year due to damage. The containers are primarily injection molded high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and vary in size from 35 to 95 gallons. Currently, there are approximately 6,500 out of service containers in storage at City facilities. The primary storage facilities are Los Reales Landfill located at 5300 E. Los Reales Road and Irvington Landfill located at 9900 E. Irvington Road.

Waste Paper Recycling Services

Mohave County, AZ

The County of Mohave is seeking proposals from qualified offerors in the Waste Removal and Recycling field.

Currently, the County does not have a program implemented to recycle waste paper in any of its facilities. The County wishes to implement a waste paper recycling program at its two largest office facilities, with a possibility of extending the program to service other facilities in the future.

On-site burning of structures or affiliated materials in not allowed. Work also includes demolition of building foundations to below-grade level, backfilling and restoring the area to a natural grade.
