The Construction Materials Recycling Association (CMRA), Aurora, Ill., has announced the organization’s slate of 2013 industry award honorees. The 2013 awards will be presented during the association’s C&D World Conference, April 22 in Tampa, Fla.
Michael Dinneen, Agg Rok Materials, Grove City, Ohio, has been named Member of the Year. The Member of the Year is selected based on extraordinary service to the mission of the organization and the construction and demolition recycling industry over the previous 12 months.
Cherry Companies, Houston, is the C&D Recycler of the Year. This award honors those recycling operations in the C&D recycling industry that have made an extraordinary contribution to the industry.
In addition, the inaugural class of the C&D Recycling Hall of Fame has been announced, and the 2013 Honorees include:
- Mason Brown, Big City Crushed Concrete, Dallas
- William Guptail, General Kinematics, Crystal Lake, Ill.
- Anthony Lomangino, Southern Waste Systems/Sun Recycling, Palm Beach, Fla.
- Lou Sanzaro, Ocean County Recycling (posthumously), Toms River, N.J.
“We applaud all of these individuals and businesses that have made a commitment to the recycling industry and their communities,” says John Adelman, president of CMRA’s board of directors. “It is because of their commitment to the environment, our country is able to move to a more sustainable future.”
