Mobile Screen Plants

Mansfield, Ohio-based Grasan’s mobile screen plants are available in sizes up to 8 inches by 24 inches with inclined screens and sizes up to 7 inches by 20 inches with horizontal screens. Inclined units can be equipped with spray bars and slurry flume for washing applications. Both horizontal and inclined units can be supplied with fold-down feed boxes to minimize setup time. Mobile units are designed for high mobility with fast setup, according to Grasan. The horizontal screen plant is driven into place under the feed conveyor and the legs are blocked. Optional hydraulic outrigger legs can make setup even easier. Screens are mounted on single-, tandem- or triple-axle trailers. Standard equipment includes fifth wheel kingpin hitch, dual 11:00 by 22.5 tires, air brakes, signal lights and mud flaps. Units are designed with ample room under the discharge chutes for radial stackers or transfer conveyors. The body frames of the units are fabricated with high-strength wide flange beams, include walkways with access ladders and have fixed or folding support legs. Feed boxes and discharge chutes have wear liners, and the entire chute assembly removes easily in one piece for maintenance.
