Kobelco Construction Machinery USA, headquartered in Houston, has hired Wesley Brubaker as its new field service representative. He will support Kobelco dealers and the equipment population in the field. Brubaker has more than 17 years of experience in the service and support of heavy equipment, including a four-year stint with Kobelco in the past.

Brubaker will be responsible for assisting Kobelco dealers with the company’s full line of excavators in the 3,000-pound to 180,000-pound classes. His responsibilities will include service training, warranty claims administration and helping dealer mechanics in the field.

“It’s nice to be back at Kobelco,” says Brubaker. “In 1996, I started my career with Kobelco, before working for several additional manufacturers to expand my leadership and technical skills. Bringing that knowledge back to a service-driven company is a breath of fresh air.”

“We are pleased to have Wes rejoin the Kobelco team,” says George Lumpkins, product marketing manager for Kobelco. “Every Kobelco employee is driven by passion for the product line and the industries we serve. Wes’ background, product know-how and longevity in the industry align well with Kobelco’s promise of total customer satisfaction.”

Kobelco, which relaunched its excavator line the first of this year, says it produces a full range of crawler excavators for the rental, landscape, construction, aggregate, road building, material handling, site preparation, recycling and ancillary markets. Its product line includes zero tail swing, standard, long-reach and compact models.
