Kobelco Construction Machinery USA, Houston, has appointed Javier Marin its parts pricing analyst/inventory control. The company notes that Marin will play a key role as the company gears up in support of its aggressive growth strategy following the relaunch of its excavator line in North America earlier this year.

In his new role, Marin will be responsible for compiling comparative parts pricing in order to develop and implement Kobelco’s pricing strategy. He will assist in the development of internal performance measures to gauge pricing effectiveness and track industry trends and forecasts for ongoing analysis of the company’s parts business. Marin’s findings will be essential in Kobelco’s efforts to continually offer competitively priced parts, according to the company. Marin will also ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained at Kobelco’s Houston parts distribution facility.

Kobelco produces a full range of crawler excavators in the 3,000-pound to 180,000-pound classes for the rental, landscape, construction, aggregate, road building, material handling, site preparation, recycling and ancillary markets, including zero tail swing, standard, long-reach and compact models.
